Meet Dr. McManus
Amanda McManus, DMD, MS
It is with meticulous attention and great care that I take on the responsibility of transforming a smile. I feel so rewarded to be able to witness and aid in the transformation of not only a smile, but of a child into a healthy, confident young adult.
I choose to practice orthodontics because it offers the unique opportunity to help people in a way that utilizes hands-on technical skills in a social and friendly environment. I love being a part of a patient’s life and bringing about a positive change while building relationships with so many people in my community. I am honored to be a part of this very special time in their lives.
Education and Continuing Education
I began my education at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, where I received my undergraduate degree. Both my Doctorate of Dental Medicine and Master’s degree in Orthodontics were earned at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
I participate in numerous continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date with the newest technology and techniques in orthodontic care. I attend annual meetings of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Northeast Society of Orthodontists, and have presented research at the AAO Conference and the International Association of Dental Research. In addition, I am also an active member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Worcester District Dental Society.
Office Life
Our team is made up of an exceptional group of people who truly care about the well-being and happiness of our patients. They go above and beyond to help make each orthodontic experience as enjoyable as possible. Quite simply, they are kind, patient, and good people.
Outside the Office
I am a native of Shrewsbury and a proud graduate of Shrewsbury High School. I am so excited to practice in this wonderful community. I currently live in Grafton with my husband, Joseph, who also grew up here. Our home is completed by our dog named Turtle and our cat named Boo. When I have free time I enjoy reading, painting, cooking, and hiking.
